We built the Cyprus wedding site we couldn't find

My Cyprus Wedding started with our own wedding. We’re a UK couple who fell for the island on a summer holiday, decided to get married there, and then spent the next few months trying to plan the whole thing from a flat back home.

The bit nobody warns you about

Choosing Cyprus was the easy part. Actually planning it was where things fell apart.

We wanted one place that laid the whole wedding out in a structured way - the venues, the photographers, the planners, the florists, the caterers, the paperwork - so we could see the pieces, compare them, and shortlist without twelve browser tabs and a half-finished spreadsheet. That place didn’t exist.

Instead we got tour-operator packages that hid the numbers, Google Maps results padded with restaurants that hosted one reception in 2019, and Facebook groups where the same three questions get asked every week. None of it helped us shortlist a photographer from Manchester on a Tuesday night.

So we built the directory we wish we’d had

My Cyprus Wedding is a curated directory of 485 venues and suppliers across all eight wedding regions - Paphos, Polis, Limassol, Larnaca, Ayia Napa, Protaras, Nicosia and Troodos - organised by the parts of the day you actually plan around, and checked by hand before anything appears.

What “manually curated” means

Every listing is verified for five things: it’s a real wedding business, it’s in the category it claims, its location is right, its rating and reviews are current, and its contact details work. Listings that fail get removed. No vendor can pay to skip the check - paid tiers change visibility, never verification.

Who it’s for

Couples in the UK planning an 80-guest Cyprus wedding on an £8-15k budget - roughly half what the same day costs at home. We show real prices in £ and €, flag which vendors respond within 24 hours, and keep the legal paperwork guides current so the apostille step doesn’t catch you out.
