    Polis is the quieter west-coast choice for couples who want Cyprus without a resort-strip feel. The area covers Polis Chrysochous, Latchi harbour, Neo Chorio and the villages around the Akamas peninsula. It suits small stone-built venues, tavernas, harbour-side meals and wedding weekends built around boat trips, the Baths of Aphrodite and slower coastal stays.

    The trade-off is supplier depth. Polis has fewer listed wedding vendors than Paphos, and many couples will still use Paphos-based photographers, planners, florists or transport teams who cover the area. Allow for the extra drive time, especially if guests are flying into the Paphos airport region around 30-40 minutes to the south. If your priority is a low-key coastal wedding away from the main hotel strips, Polis and Latchi are worth the extra logistics.

That is the real case for a Polis wedding over Paphos: legally married in the Akamas landscape itself.
