Wedding flowers in Cyprus live or die by the heat. A midday coastal ceremony in July runs at 32-34°C, and hydrangeas and peonies wilt within the hour. The florists here who work with UK couples build around blooms that hold their shape all day - garden roses, lisianthus, orchids, calla lilies, carnations and dahlias - plus olive branches, eucalyptus and lavender that take the sun. Sourcing in season is the biggest single lever on price: a locally grown rose or lisianthus arrangement costs a fraction of the same design flown in out of season.
What Cyprus wedding flowers cost
A bridal bouquet from a Cyprus wedding florist typically lands around £65-130 (€75-150), against £150-250 for the same posy in the UK. A ceremony arch starts near £730 (€850), and a décor package covering the registration table, chairs and the bride's bouquet from about £225 (€263). Cyprus adds 19% VAT, so check whether a quote includes it. Reusing ceremony flowers on the reception tables afterwards is the standard way to keep floral design inside an £8-15k budget.
