Five Limassol venues, and what that honestly means

This is the shortest reception list of the six main Cyprus locations, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. Five published venues: two beachfront hotels on Amathus Avenue, two city hotels and one function venue. Limassol supplier depth is real. The venue depth is not there yet.

    What the five actually are

Amathus Beach Hotel and Mediterranean Beach Hotel are the seafront pair on Amathus Avenue, both large, both with terrace and ballroom capacity and thousands of reviews behind them. Alasia Hotel and S Paul Hotel sit in the city grid, closer to the old port and the Molos promenade. Monfik Venue is a standalone function space carrying only 10 reviews so far, so ask to see a full wedding it has run before you shortlist it.

If you want a Limassol Marina tower or a five-star suite hotel, it is not on this list yet. Two routes work. Book a venue direct and use the Limassol supplier bench, close to 30 florists and 30 planners and around 20 photographers, for everything else. Or widen the search to Paphos, Larnaca, or the Troodos villages about 40 minutes north.

Two of the five are in a different municipality

This is the detail that catches couples out. Limassol Town Hall marries you in a room that holds about 50, with the Historical Archive and the seafront docks as paid alternatives. Fees are £110 (€128) on the standard notice, £240 (€282) on the special procedure, £12 (€14) for a certified copy, plus roughly £110 (€130) for a Saturday or an out-of-hours slot.

Amathus Avenue, though, is not inside Lemesos Municipality. Both beachfront hotels sit in Agios Tychonas, a municipal district of Amathounta Municipality since 1 July 2024, and that authority runs its own civil marriage office. Same national fee, different town hall, different diary. Confirm which one your venue is licensed by before you book the appointment or the flights.

Season is the biggest lever on price

Limassol venues price above the island average, so the date does more for your budget here than anywhere else. A May or October Saturday runs well below the same venue in July or August, and spares your guests the 35°C afternoons. Larnaca airport is about 45 minutes away, which keeps transfers simple even for a city-centre reception.

    • Ask for a written total at your real guest count, with 19% VAT shown.
    • Confirm the exclusive-use hours and which hotel areas stay public.
    • Check the Saturday and out-of-hours surcharge with the correct municipality.
