Where the 36 Paphos venues actually sit
Paphos is the deepest venue list on this site and the most spread out. Nine of the 36 sit on or just off Poseidonos Avenue, the seafront strip. The rest run from Peyia in the north to Kouklia in the east and Lysos up towards Polis, roughly 50 minutes from the harbour. Check the postcode before you fall for the photos.
Three clusters, not one town
The Poseidonos Avenue strip is the dense option: Annabelle, Athena Beach, Athena Royal Beach, Louis Imperial Beach, Alexander The Great Beach Hotel, Olympic Lagoon, Ivi Mare and Antasia Beach Club sit within a walk of each other, with guest rooms and taxis on the doorstep.
The second cluster is the stone-estate and villa set inland and north: Liopetro Venue at Kouklia, Vasilias Nikoklis Inn at Nikokleia, Ktima Alassos at Lempa, Panorama Wedding Cyprus Villas and Paliomonastiro at Peyia, and Cap St Georges above the sea caves. These give exclusive use and a coach transfer instead of a walk. The third is the Chlorakas and Kissonerga coast just north of town: Azia Resort, Helios Bay, Louis Paphos Breeze and Atlantica Golden Beach.
Four town halls license this list
Paphos looks like one municipality and is not. Pafos Municipality covers the city and the Poseidonos strip, and holds its civil ceremonies at the Municipal Art Gallery. Hierocepia Municipality covers Geroskipou, Timi and Acheleia, so Louis Ledra Beach, Fitosinn and BASE Events on Airport Road file there. Akamas Municipality covers Peyia and Kissonerga, which takes in Cap St Georges, Panorama and Paliomonastiro. Chlorakas, Kouklia, Nikokleia and Lempa remain communities, so the notice goes to whichever municipality has licensed that venue.
The national fee is the same everywhere: £110 (€128.15) on the standard notice, £240 (€281.90) on the special licence. What changes is the office, the appointment window and the surcharge for a ceremony held away from the town hall or outside standard hours. Ask each venue, in writing, which town hall it is licensed by.
The Paphos airport advantage
Paphos is the one location on this site where guests land and reach the venue in about 20 minutes, roughly 4.5 hours from most UK airports. That saves real money once you are moving 80 people twice a day, and it is the main reason Paphos stays the UK default.
