Choosing a wedding photographer in Protaras
The six current photographers are all €€€ and based around Paralimni, Liopetri, Deryneia and Sotira. Their public evidence varies from 178 reviews to no current review record. Shortlist on complete east-coast galleries and named coverage, not the shared price band.
Use the uneven evidence properly
Two listings have 29 or more reviews, two have five or fewer, one has 17 and one has none. Three profiles also lack an accessible service site. Ask thin profiles for recent full weddings and direct couple references.
The documented services range from candid stills to photo, video, live streaming, albums and separate sunset sessions. Make each quote use the same hours and deliverables before comparing totals.
Build the day around resort distances and light
Preparation may be in one Protaras hotel, the ceremony in another space and portraits near the coast. Give the photographer every address and ask for a timed route that protects dinner and family photographs.
A local base shortens travel, but does not guarantee venue knowledge. Request a gallery from your venue or a similar east-coast resort and agree the portrait fallback if wind makes the exposed coast impractical.
- Name the person responsible for gathering family groups.
- Confirm parking and access at every photography stop.
- Keep one coastal portrait location, not a tour of several.
Put delivery and backup in the contract
Ask for edited image count, preview timing, final gallery date and album pricing. If film or live streaming is added, name the second operator and the separate files you receive.
Confirm duplicate card recording, off-site backup, illness cover and date-change terms. These details matter more when the portfolio site is blocked, social-only or absent.
